Roy Sheppard Honored by Rotary Club
65 years of membership
KCSI TV News At its Tuesday June 17th meeting the Valley City Rotary Club honored the 65 years of membership of M.Roy Sheppard, from 1943 through 2008.
Roy joined the Valley City Rotary Club June 2, 1943. At that time Roy was employed as Principal of the Valley City Junior High School. He later purchased Valley Appliance which became Sheppard's Furniture and Appliance on the corner of Central Ave and 3rd St.
Sheppard served as President of the Valley City Club in 1947 and is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Over the years as a Valley City businessman, Roy served on the Park Board, and the Valley City School Board. In 1964 he founded Cable Services (CSi - the parent company of this website), a cable television, computer, and broadband Internet operation. He continues to attend the weekly Rotary meetings.
